In cooperation with the San Francisco Food Bank, we will be opening a food pantry to serve San Francisco residents and families in need. A food pantry is a weekly farmers
market style grocery distribution for pantry participants (*shoppers) to choose from a variety of fresh vegetables, fruits
and dried goods such as rice, pasta and canned goods. We receive and buy these food items from the San Francisco Food Bank
and we distribute them at no cost to our participants. Unemployment in San Francisco has more than doubled and many workers
have had their hours cut. And according to the latest census, the Sunset area is one of the poorest in the city. We will open
the door to our food pantry every Saturday at 11:00am.
Our food pantry
is located at: First United Presbyterian Church
1740 Sloat Blvd (between 34th and 35th Ave.) San Francisco, CA. 94132
